Kitchen Island
Designed to create a kitchen workspace that, not only, separated the kitchen area and the living room, but also maintained the open feel of the house. It includes an end-grain, maple cutting board incorporating a herringbone pattern which adds a nice visual counterpoint to the staid look of the maple counter-top and bar-top. Stand alone cutting boards are available for purchase upon request.
Cutting Board
After seeing the herringbone cutting board in the kitchen island (above), the client requested a stand alone one. It is 20"x20"x2 1/4", and made of end-grain, eastern maple.
Conference Table
Created for an enviromental engineering firm in Portland, Oregon. This piece was made from two, locally sourced, book-matched slabs of Western Maple. It measures 4 ft. in width by 10 ft. in length and stands 30 in. tall. Incorporated into the design are custom-made, powder-coated steel, legs.
